PAINTINGS
My style has greatly evolved over the years due to an early background in Renaissance portrait painting and modern day graphic design studies. Much of my earlier work departed from classic portraiture but still incorporated classical female nudes in contrast with vivid colors and stark compositions. As my style matured, my paintings expressed a softer, abstract approach with textural components and unusual mediums not seen in earlier works. More recently, I have completely departed from any figural painting and began to explore abstract expressionism through the simple interaction of forms, lines, and color. These pieces do not center on the subject but rather the overall rhythm and effect, evoking references to nature and organic matter.
